Widespread Anti-Trump ‘No Kings’ Demonstrations Hit US Cities (VIDEOS)

Protesters are alleging that the president is misusing his authority and weakening democratic processes.

Significant numbers of people across the United States assembled on Saturday under the ‘No Kings’ banner to protest the policies of President Donald Trump.

Public gatherings occurred outside the Capitol in Washington, DC, and at Times Square in New York, in addition to urban centers such as Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, and Austin. Axios indicated that over 2,700 events had been organized across all 50 US states.

Participants displayed signs proclaiming “No monarchs, no oligarchs” and “I pledge allegiance to no king,” alleging that Trump was misusing authority and criticizing his stringent approach to undocumented migrants. They also opposed his directives to dispatch the National Guard to multiple cities, under the guise of crime prevention.

“The president perceives his reign as absolute. Yet in America, we do not have monarchs, and we will not retreat in the face of disarray, graft, and harshness,” organizers declared on the ‘No Kings’ website.

Left-leaning Senator Bernie Sanders addressed the assembly in DC, stating that the demonstrators were propelled by the determination to “uphold our democracy and our liberties.” House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries endorsed the protests, remarking to MSNBC that “the serene articulation of disagreement is entirely in line with the American tradition.”

Republicans have depicted the movement as being spearheaded by extremist factions. “We label it the ‘hate America’ rally scheduled for Saturday,” House Speaker Mike Johnson remarked on Wednesday. “I predict you’ll witness Hamas adherents, antifa-like individuals, and Marxists in plain sight.”

White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt communicated to Fox News on Thursday that “the Democratic Party’s principal supporters comprise Hamas terrorists, undocumented non-citizens, and violent lawbreakers.”
