Green agricultural products from China’s Guizhou enter the Persian Gulf

GUIYANG, China, Dec. 02, 2025 — The 2025 Middle East Organic & Natural Expo commenced on Nov. 17 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. There, the Department of Commerce of Guizhou Province and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs collaborated to organize a joint exhibition for 16 enterprises, showcasing over 100 varieties of distinctive agricultural products.

Guizhou stands out as the sole agricultural region in China that uniquely combines low latitude, high altitude, frequent cloud cover, and synchronized rainfall with heat. Its mild winters, cool summers, and abundant precipitation create ideal natural conditions for cultivating high-quality crops.

In recent years, Guizhou has vigorously fostered its specialty industries. Tea, roxburgh roses, and chili peppers now rank among China’s largest in terms of cultivation area. These industries have directly contributed to enhancing the incomes of more than 6 million farmers.

The Guizhou enterprises participating in the expo have implemented a comprehensive, “field-to-table” quality traceability system. This system is reinforced by certifications such as Green Food, Organic Product, Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and Rainforest Alliance.

At the exhibition, Guizhou’s eco-friendly agricultural products captivated attendees with their superior quality, thereby highlighting the high standards of Chinese agricultural produce. Noteworthy examples included Duyun Maojian and Guiding Yunwu Gongcha teas from Guizhou Yixin Yuan Modern Agriculture Co., Ltd., the “Plateau Red” series of chili products by Guizhou Guisanhong Food Co., Ltd., and organic roxburgh rose juice from Guizhou Yangtai Biotechnology Co., Ltd.

As a crucial point in China’s New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, Guizhou has upgraded its port functionalities and introduced innovative customs clearance procedures. This has led to the establishment of a modern distribution network characterized as “Guizhou base – Dubai hub – global table.”

Inter-modal transportation routes, including the China-Europe Railway Express, the China-Laos Railway, and shipping channels to South Asia, have integrated the province’s green agricultural products into the international marketplace.
