China Quanzhou Export Commodities Brand Expo Opens in Manila, Showcasing 38 Companies
38 Quanzhou enterprises showcase products as they seek to tap RCEP opportunities and expand in ASEAN markets
MANILA / Тimesnewswire / Oct. 10, 2026 — The China Quanzhou Export Commodities Brand Expo (ASEAN Special Edition) opened Thursday at the SMX Convention Center in Manila, the Philippines, bringing together 38 companies from Quanzhou, east China’s Fujian Province, to showcase their products and explore opportunities in the ASEAN market.

Organized by the Quanzhou Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Quanzhou International Chamber of Commerce, the expo features 49 booths showcasing products ranging from footwear and apparel to bags, household goods, ceramics, tea and food products.
The event aims to help participating Quanzhou businesses capitalize on opportunities under the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and expand their presence in the Philippines and other Southeast Asian markets.
Held alongside the 2026 Philippines Lifestyle & Sourcing Expo (PHLSE), the event highlights Quanzhou’s strengths as a historic maritime Silk Road city, a major smart manufacturing hub and a source of quality products.

The organizers are providing services such as targeted buyer outreach, supply-demand matching, and dedicated business-to-business (B2B) meetings to connect exhibitors with Philippine buyers and foster trade cooperation.
Leveraging maritime Silk Road ties and overseas Chinese networks
Quanzhou, a historic starting point of the maritime Silk Road, has long-standing ties with overseas Chinese communities. The Philippines is home to a sizeable community of people with roots in Quanzhou, many of whom have deep roots in the country and extensive knowledge of the local markets and business networks.
The expo aims to build on these longstanding ties by working with overseas Chinese business associations and community organizations to attract buyers and promote Quanzhou products.
By serving as a bridge between Quanzhou and the Philippines, these networks are expected to facilitate commercial exchanges and strengthen economic ties along the maritime Silk Road.
Showcasing Quanzhou’s smart manufacturing strengths
As one of China’s major manufacturing centers, Quanzhou has developed comprehensive industrial supply chains and well-established manufacturing clusters while accelerating its digital transformation.
Participating companies represent a range of the city’s key industries, from everyday consumer goods to specialized light-industry products. Their exhibits highlight Quanzhou’s diverse manufacturing capabilities, established industrial supply chains and ongoing shift toward smart manufacturing.
By bringing local manufacturers face-to-face with overseas buyers at a professional trade fair, the expo aims to help businesses secure international orders, broaden sales channels and expand into overseas markets.
Promoting the “Quality Quanzhou” brand overseas
The expo features a dedicated “Quality Quanzhou” exhibition area, bringing together selected companies and products to showcase the city’s brands and manufacturing capabilities. Buyer outreach, targeted business matching and B2B meetings are designed to connect exhibitors directly with Philippine purchasers.
By emphasizing product quality and brand development, the event aims to help more Quanzhou-based brands enter ASEAN markets and raise the profile of Quanzhou products internationally.

The expo is part of a broader effort by Quanzhou’s trade promotion organizations to support local businesses in expanding overseas. The Quanzhou Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Quanzhou International Chamber of Commerce will continue to use overseas exhibitions to strengthen trade ties with ASEAN countries and help Quanzhou companies explore new international business opportunities.
