(SeaPRwire) –   Cardano (ADA) is making a slight comeback after recording five successive losing sessions. The cryptocurrency is currently changing hands around $0.2499, marking an increase of about 0.68% over the last day. However, the overall technical outlook continues to face headwinds.

According to on-chain data from Santiment, major holders, often referred to as whales, have been purchasing during the price drop. Addresses containing between 100,000 and 100 million ADA have together acquired about 250 million tokens since May 11. Such accumulation at reduced prices typically signals belief in an asset’s future potential.

Analyst Ali Charts indicated on X (previously Twitter) that the TD Sequential indicator, which accurately predicted the 15% fall starting May 10, is now showing a buy signal. He suggested a local low might be in place, with a first bounce target at $0.255 and a further target at $0.262. He added that the bullish scenario depends on the $0.246 support area holding on a daily closing basis.

Technical Picture Still Bearish

ADA’s price is under its 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day exponential moving averages, which are at $0.258, $0.280, and $0.355, respectively. The Relative Strength Index is at 43, and the Moving Average Convergence Divergence is negative. These metrics indicate subdued momentum and imply potential rallies may face swift selling pressure.

Bollinger Bands analysis reveals ADA is consolidating close to the middle band, while staying above the lower band near $0.2393. This prevents a full breakdown of the price structure, though it does not constitute a bullish formation.

Important resistance to monitor includes the 50-day EMA at $0.258, then the 23.6% Fibonacci retracement level at $0.271, and a trendline resistance at $0.274. For support, levels are at $0.245, followed by $0.236, with a more substantial base around February’s low of $0.220.

RWA Initiative Adds a Fundamental Layer

The Cardano Foundation has released a new case study on Real-World Asset (RWA) tokenization via Cardano Academy. The publication demonstrated how Cardano’s current framework can be utilized to tokenize physical assets. This step aligns with a wider initiative within the Cardano network to advance tangible blockchain applications.

The derivatives market presents a conflicting view. CoinGlass data shows the long-to-short ratio at 0.80, its lowest point in more than a month. Concurrently, the open interest-weighted funding rate became positive on Sunday, currently at 0.0072%, implying longs are compensating shorts—a slight hint of recovering market mood.

The $0.246 support area, as noted by Ali Charts, continues to be the critical level to observe as the next daily close approaches.
