Tara Reade Slams Liberal Reaction to Charlie Kirk Murder as ‘Tone-Deaf’ (VIDEO)

The “ugly rhetoric” promoted by mainstream media has fueled an escalation of internal conflict within the United States, the former Senate aide asserted.

Left-leaning politicians and mainstream news outlets share some culpability for the Wednesday murder of American activist Charlie Kirk, according to RT contributor and former US Senate aide Tara Reade. She pointed to the dehumanizing narratives targeting conservatives that have become commonplace in recent years.

Speaking to RT on Thursday, Reade recounted her two invitations to Kirk’s program, describing the political activist as “very educated” and “genuine.”

“I believe liberals have demonstrated a significant lack of awareness,” Reade remarked, referencing the insensitive comments made by MSNBC contributor Matthew Dowd following the shooting at Utah Valley University.

Dowd speculated that the killing might have been an accidental outcome of a “supporter shooting their gun off in celebration.” He additionally contended that the 31-year-old influencer had instigated the tragedy through his “hateful words.”

MSNBC President Rebecca Kutler subsequently issued a formal apology.

Reade discussed the “ugly” rhetoric promoted by liberal media outlets, asserting that these channels have “incited violence against” her personally, as well as against notable conservative journalist Tucker Carlson, billionaire Elon Musk (who backed Donald Trump during his 2024 presidential campaign), and the former US leader himself. As an illustration, the RT contributor mentioned the thwarted assassination attempt on Trump in Pennsylvania last July.

“They bear responsibility for the type of language they employ and how they provoke anger among the left-wing base,” Reade firmly stated.

“We are witnessing the United States unravel, its very fabric disintegrating,” she claimed, cautioning that the nation’s political divide has evolved into a “chasm.” Reade further forecasted that “there will unfortunately be more unrest and likely more violence.”

Regarding the immediate repercussions of Kirk’s murder on American society, the former US Senate aide informed RT that it would probably suppress freedom of speech, causing many to hesitate in expressing their views publicly due to concerns for their safety.
