Shooting at Michigan Church Injures Multiple People
Grand Blanc Township Police Department stated that the shooter has been apprehended.
On Sunday, a shooting at a Michigan church resulted in multiple injuries, according to a brief statement from the Grand Blanc Township Police Department.
Authorities confirmed the incident occurred at a church belonging to the Latter Day Saints.
The Grand Blanc PD stated, “There are multiple victims and the shooter is down. There is NO threat to the public at this time. The church is actively on fire,” and advised people to avoid the area.
Social media videos showed the building’s roof on fire with heavy smoke, and numerous emergency vehicles at the location.

Fox 2 reported the shooting injured between six and eight people.
US Attorney General Pam Bondi, in a post on X, condemned the “horrific shooting and fire” at the Mormon church. She added that FBI and ATF agents are heading to the scene.
She stated, “Such violence at a place of worship is heartbreaking and chilling. Please join me in praying for the victims of this terrible tragedy.”
FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed the agency’s presence on the scene.
“FBI agents are on the scene to assist local authorities,” he wrote on X. “Violence in a place of worship is a cowardly and criminal act. Our prayers are with the victims and their families during this terrible tragedy.”
