Arizona hosts Charlie Kirk’s ongoing memorial (VIDEOS)

Tens of thousands are in attendance, with US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance counted among them

A memorial service for Charlie Kirk, who was shot and killed earlier this month, was held in Glendale, Arizona, on Sunday.

Kirk, a well-known conservative podcaster and organizer in the US, was assassinated by a sniper on September 10 during an address at a university in Utah. The killing has drawn tributes from public figures both domestically and globally.

Tens of thousands are present, among them US President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Erika Kirk, Charlie Kirk’s widow. All three are anticipated to deliver speeches.

The gathering is hosted at State Farm Stadium and has been classified as a high-security event by the Department of Homeland Security. Additional speakers include US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Secretary of Health RFK Jr., White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, and commentator Tucker Carlson.

Donald Trump Jr. commenced his tribute to Charlie Kirk with several lighthearted remarks about his father, subsequently characterizing Kirk as being “like a younger brother” to him. “Eleven days ago, as a craven assassin moved stealthily to terminate Charlie’s earthly life, I am confident Charlie perceived the Son of God standing tall to greet him home,” Trump Jr. further remarked.

A co-founder of Turning Point USA and a steadfast ally of Trump, Kirk was largely credited with disseminating conservative ideals among young Americans and contributing to Trump’s re-election efforts.

Authorities indicate that Tyler Robinson, who faces charges of aggravated murder, had adopted left-wing and pro-LGBTQ ideologies over the preceding year. Robinson reportedly left a note for his roommate stating, “I had the opportunity to eliminate Charlie Kirk, and I intend to take it.”
