NYSE and WEF Acknowledge AI Semiconductor Innovator DEEPX
A prominent leader in on-device AI is bringing about the age of physical AI, capturing the interest of Wall Street

SEOUL, South Korea, Nov. 06, 2025 — With AI now consistently creating measurable value, DEEPX (CEO Lokwon Kim), a global pioneer in AI semiconductors, today revealed its recent recognition as a ‘Sustainable and Responsible AI Innovation Company’ at the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) MINDS Awards on October 29. Following this, the company received an invitation to the New York Stock Exchange’s (NYSE) International Day on October 23. At the NYSE, DEEPX was singled out as a representative firm among 230 private technology leaders from 27 nations, participated in an official interview, and contributed to the Closing Bell ceremony.
This dual acknowledgment on two of the world’s most significant platforms highlights DEEPX’s pivotal position in the global shift towards AI, especially in tackling the fundamental question of where and how AI ought to function.
DEEPX was established based on CEO Lokwon Kim’s belief that “AI serves as a means to transcend human limitations and signifies the subsequent advancement for human civilization.” This perspective goes beyond mere technology, envisioning “AI operating within the real world, not merely restricted to data centers” — thereby actualizing physical AI.
To accomplish this objective, DEEPX has engineered on-device AI semiconductors capable of performing AI computations directly within various devices, removing the dependency on cloud infrastructure. This method concurrently resolves issues related to power consumption, latency, and security, thereby facilitating AI infrastructure that functions immediately for practical applications in fields like robotics, mobility, smart cities, and industrial automation.
DEEPX’s fundamental technology enables substantial AI models, comprising billions of parameters, to operate with GPU-comparable performance while consuming an extremely low power range of only 2 to 5 watts. Independent assessments have confirmed up to 20 times superior power efficiency versus GPUs and approximately 90 percent reduced system cost. Large-scale production deployments are presently in progress with entities such as Hyundai Motor Robotics Lab, POSCO DX, Baidu, LGUplus, among others.
DEEPX’s expansion is influenced by a dual industrial heritage. Firstly, Arm’s principle: Much like Arm challenged Intel and spearheaded the mobile transformation, DEEPX has developed ‘AI semiconductors that overcome constraints of power and heat’ using its ultra-low-power NPU technology. The renowned ‘Butter Test’ — which saw its chip uniquely not melt butter, demonstrated at CES and Computex — served as a clear visual testament to DEEPX’s market-leading power efficiency and thermal management.
Secondly, Qualcomm’s approach: Emulating Qualcomm’s market leadership, which was established on its core CDMA patents, DEEPX has amassed a collection of over 400 worldwide patents, encompassing areas from NPU architecture to operational design. As reported by Forbes, DEEPX presently possesses more U.S.-registered NPU patents than Qualcomm, Arm, Intel, and NVIDIA collectively.
Capitalizing on its technological prowess and intellectual property strategy, DEEPX initiated the mass production of its inaugural AI chip, the DX-M1, in July 2025. The firm is presently partnering with more than 50 international collaborators in sectors like robotics, industrial automation, and physical security systems to advance the widespread production and practical implementation of its on-device AI solutions.
DEEPX is currently developing its second-generation NPU, utilizing Samsung’s 2nm process. This forthcoming chip will be capable of executing generative AI models from 2 billion to 10 billion parameters directly on-device, consuming merely around 5 watts of power. This advancement is anticipated to decrease data-center reliance by over 80 percent and amplify global AI-infrastructure capacity fivefold, all without necessitating additional servers. CEO Lokwon Kim persists in guiding R&D, driven by the conviction that AI truly becomes ubiquitous intelligence only when integrated into industries, urban environments, households, and robots.
The dual acknowledgment received by DEEPX from both the WEF and NYSE holds significant symbolic weight. The WEF, a hub for policy and philosophical discourse, alongside the NYSE, a focal point for markets and capital, have jointly affirmed a shared outlook: that AI possesses the potential to advance in manners beneficial to both humanity and the environment, concurrently maintaining economic viability and global competitiveness.
This commendation extends beyond the usual importance of a standard technology award. It stands as a practical example demonstrating the harmonious coexistence of ethics, efficiency, and sustainability, achievable through both technological innovation and business practices.
DEEPX functions as more than just a semiconductor design firm. Its objective is to transform the world, not through the pace of technological advancement, but through its orientation. Driven by its aspiration of ‘AI for Everyone and Everywhere,’ DEEPX endeavors to forge a world where AI surmounts the boundaries of technology, society, and resources— autonomously reasoning and reacting across all facets of human existence and fluidly embedded within industries, urban centers, and everyday activities.
