Capitalizing on LoRa’s attributes like low power consumption, extended communication range, and robust anti-interference performance, this new duo facilitates smooth data exchange between inverters and wireless energy meters. This ensures precise power measurement, instantaneous data transfer, and dependable wireless connectivity throughout varied home settings.
The LoRa smart meter transmitter gathers local energy data and transmits it to the LoRa receiver using spread-spectrum modulation. Subsequently, the receiver forwards this data to the inverter, which then sends it to the cloud over Wi-Fi for purposes such as monitoring, analysis, and system optimization.
Featuring wireless installation, the LoRa pair negates the requirement for conventional cabling and structural alterations, leading to substantial reductions in both installation duration and expense. Its ultra-low power architecture consumes only microamp-level current in sleep mode, prolonging device longevity and supporting worldwide energy conservation efforts. The system’s impressive wall penetration and strong resistance to electromagnetic interference guarantee reliable long-distance data transmission, even through four to five concrete walls or up to 600–800 meters in unobstructed areas (presently undergoing trials).
Intended as a foundational element for Hinen’s residential energy storage inverters and European balcony photovoltaic systems, the LoRa duo’s utility also spans smart metering, environmental monitoring, and home security applications.
