Strong Automotive and Robotics Market Expansion

Hesai secured design wins with every top-ten Chinese automaker, extending its presence to more than 160 vehicle models. Multi-lidar configurations for Li Auto, Xiaomi, and Changan are scheduled to start production between 2026 and 2027. This strategy places Hesai at the leading edge of the multi-lidar trend in sophisticated automotive systems.

The company has also moved into the mass-market segment for vehicles priced below RMB100,000, widening its potential customer base. Hesai’s lidar technology enables autonomous driving, safety features, and ADAS functions on various platforms. Its goals include boosting lidar integration in vehicles and speeding up its global market growth.

In robotics, Hesai holds the top position in categories including humanoid and quadruped robots, robotaxis, robovans, and robotic lawn mowers. Partnerships with Unitree, Dreame, and MOVA have resulted in significant orders, demonstrating solid demand in automation. These advancements point to considerable long-term revenue opportunities as implementations grow globally.

Product Innovation and Strategic Partnerships

Hesai introduced the FMC500 system-on-chip in November 2025, which combines MCU, FPGA, and ADC components for superior performance. The upgraded ATX lidar, utilizing the FMC500, is scheduled for production in April 2026. Its proprietary “Photon Isolation” technology minimizes interference between laser channels, enhancing the safety and dependability of lidar systems.

On the global stage, Hesai joined forces with NVIDIA as the key lidar supplier for the DRIVE Hyperion 10 platform. A collaboration with Grab in Southeast Asia improves regional availability of Hesai’s lidar products. Holding more than 2,071 lidar patents, the company reinforces its leadership in technological innovation and intellectual property.

The company projects 2026 lidar shipments in the range of 3 million to 3.5 million units, indicating sustained growth. New product introductions are aimed at sizable addressable markets and bolster Hesai’s international standing. These strategic efforts highlight the company’s commitment to increasing production scale and broadening applications in automotive and robotics.
