Recognized globally as a premier authority in vehicle safety assessment, Euro NCAP conducts evaluations across four critical domains: Adult Occupant Protection, Child Occupant Protection, Vulnerable Road User Protection, and Safety Assist.

During the latest test series, both the TIGGO7 CSH and TIGGO8 CSH demonstrated exceptional results, achieving scores of 82% for Adult Occupant Protection, 85% for Child Occupant Protection, 80% for Vulnerable Road User Protection, and 78% for Safety Assist. These consistently strong performances across all assessment areas led to their prestigious five-star rating, underscoring Chery’s thorough and unwavering dedication to vehicle safety.

These impressive outcomes are a testament to Chery’s continuous investment and pioneering technological advancements in automotive safety. Following the establishment of its Safety Test Center in 2000, Chery allocated 150 million yuan in 2010 to develop what is now Asia’s largest crash test laboratory. This state-of-the-art facility conducts more than 1,500 full-vehicle crash tests and approximately 80 international regulatory tests each year, meticulously simulating extreme global driving conditions to consistently enhance the brand’s fundamental safety principles.

The attainment of a five-star Euro NCAP rating further solidifies Chery’s consistent record of superior safety performance in the global automotive arena. Notably, the TIGGO7 PRO (Australian version) and TIGGO8 PRO MAX (Australian version) had previously achieved five-star ratings from the Australasian New Car Assessment Programme (ANCAP). This recent accomplishment underscores that Chery’s SUV range consistently meets the rigorous safety benchmarks demanded by various international markets.

In addition to laboratory validations, Chery subjects its vehicles to stringent real-world extreme condition testing. Earlier this year, the TIGGO7 CSH withstood a high-speed collision during a battery underbody scraping test in Mexico, retaining its complete structural integrity after the impact. Concurrently, the TIGGO8 CSH successfully underwent over 50 hours of battery immersion testing in Indonesia’s exceptionally humid environment, remaining fully operational—further demonstrating Chery’s remarkable durability in challenging scenarios. Significantly, at the forthcoming Chery Brand User Summit in October 2025, Chery plans to undertake what is widely regarded as the “ultimate challenge” in automotive safety: a 15-degree small-overlap dual-vehicle collision test. This pioneering initiative signifies a venture into new frontiers of safety innovation.

Moving forward, Chery will uphold its “Safety, for Family” philosophy and its aspiration that “everyone enjoys five-star protection.” The company is devoted to introducing an increased number of five-star safety vehicles to markets worldwide, guaranteeing that motorists globally can benefit from the same superior level of safety and reassurance while driving.
