2025 Xiamen International Fashion Week Makes Its Grand Debut
XIAMEN, China, Oct. 17, 2025 — From October 16 to 19, the 2025 Xiamen International Fashion Week is unfolding across prominent cultural and tourism sites, including Zhongshan Road and Gulangyu Island. Organized under the theme “Trendy up,” this year’s installment emphasizes “sports fashion” and “new fashion consumption,” presenting 3 primary sections and 14 individual events. The event’s goal is to establish a fashion week that is “visually compelling, experience-rich, consumer-focused, and extensively networked,” thereby encouraging greater synergy among culture, tourism, and commerce.
A central attraction of the event, the “Trendy up · Fashion Show” has converted Zhongshan Road into a vibrant runway for 12 diverse presentations. Both domestic and international brands unveiled their most recent collections, underscoring the dynamic energy of the modern fashion industry.
This year also saw the launch of a new city IP, the “Good Living Festival,” which convened over one hundred brands and incorporated art exhibitions, lifestyle markets, live performances, and hands-on workshops.
Concluding the week’s activities, the “2025 Forbes Fashionable 50” results will be revealed at the Sports Fashion Awards Ceremony on the evening of October 19, hosted at the Academy of Fine Arts on Gulangyu Island. This ceremony is designed to act as a guiding light for international cooperation in sports and fashion, solidifying Xiamen’s role as China’s Sports Fashion Hub.
Throughout Fashion Week, eleven up-and-coming Thai designers and brands are set to introduce a collection of pop-up shops and fashion showcases along Xiamen’s Zhongshan Road. These displays and interactive events aim to help them investigate prospects for market entry into China. This endeavor not only acts as the primary entry point for Thai designer brands into China but also promotes the blending of Xiamen’s indigenous industries with state-of-the-art international design ideas, forging a mutually beneficial exchange of “bringing in” and “going global.”
