NEW YORK, Sept. 25, 2025 — WeRide (Nasdaq: WRD), a global leader in autonomous driving technology, has been recognized on Fortune’s Change the World list for 2025, standing out as the only autonomous vehicle (AV) technology company on the list. It joins companies like Abbott Laboratories, Alibaba, and Schneider Electric in driving innovation and creating positive social impact.
WeRide is featured on Fortune’s 2025 Change the World list
For the past decade, Fortune’s Change the World list has highlighted companies whose core business strategies involve creating significant social or environmental benefits. As the first publicly listed Robotaxi company, WeRide’s inclusion in the 2025 list acknowledges its pivotal role in tackling global urban mobility issues and promoting safer, smarter, and more environmentally friendly transportation through autonomous driving technology.
Road accidents cause significant losses, while drivers in congested cities face substantial time waste. Many developed nations face workforce shortages and rising labor costs due to aging populations. Autonomous driving helps solve these problems by minimizing human error, enhancing efficiency, reducing commute times, and delivering environmental and social advantages. Guided by this vision, WeRide has tested or operated its vehicles in over 30 cities across 11 countries, accumulating over 2,200 days of safe, autonomous operation and offering dependable mobility services to daily commuters.

WeRide Also Garners Recognition on 2025 Future 50 List
For the second consecutive year, WeRide has earned a spot on Fortune’s Future 50 list, climbing 10 places to rank 16th in 2025. It is the highest-ranked Chinese company on the list, joining innovative technology companies in software and AI like OpenAI, Snowflake, and HubSpot.
The list recognizes leading global companies with significant long-term growth prospects. The selection process for the Future 50 analyzed over 10 million data points from more than 3,000 companies, evaluating each based on strategy, technology, workforce, organizational structure, and culture. This year, WeRide holds the distinction of being the highest-ranked Chinese company and one of only three AV companies on the list, highlighting its leadership in the global AV industry.
The company’s improved ranking reflects Fortune’s increasing recognition of WeRide’s potential for sustained growth and underscores its strong business and financial performance.

Gross profit also increased by 40.6% YoY, demonstrating consistent growth.
In Abu Dhabi, WeRide’s Robotaxi fleet has tripled in size since December 2024, boosting regional commercialization and maintaining the largest Robotaxi fleet outside the US and China. The company has now achieved over 2,200 days of safe Robotaxi operations, establishing a new industry safety standard.
